Just a reminder through Tuesday asparagus is just $1.49/lb at Harris Teeter. I know asparagus may seem like an intimidating vegetable to cook, but really it’s super easy! This is one of my favorite ways to cook asparagus. Really it’s a no fail meal. Eat it as a side or as the star dish. Either way it’s a winner!
Try to find thinner asparagus its crispier and cooks tender.
Take your bacon strip and start at the bottom of the stalk and wrap it around the asparagus spear. Place your asparagus on a broiling pan, or if you have an air fryer you can place them on the tray inside (I really LOVE cooking asparagus in the air fryer it cooks up in no time!)
To bake in the oven turn it on and place the oven to 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
To cook in the air fryer cook on 350 for about 12-15 minutes. (*note if you have a smaller air fryer you may need to cut the asparagus in half so they fit in your basket).
That’s it! Let your asparagus cool a bit before picking up. If you give the bacon a little time to set it won’t come off the asparagus.
