Red. White. Blue. These colors mean a lot to me, and not only because they symbolize the concept of freedom and independence. These are the colors that decorate my childhood home. My mom was born on July 4th, so these three undeniable colors have been a part of my life, probably more than most people.
Whether coloring the flag flying high upon our flagpole, or serving as the decor for picnics and cookouts; whether hanging on a wall in the living room, or stitched into a quilt draped over the back of the couch, red white, and blue are synonymous with love, laughter, and Liberty.
Such are the emotions I felt when I put together this recipe. I thought to myself, “I bet my mom will love this!”
Ingredients
2lb Strawberries Cut
1 pack Blueberries
1 bag of Yogurt Covered Raisins
This Red, white and Berry salad balances so well the sweet of the yogurt covered raisins with that tangy bite of blueberry and strawberry. Not only colorful, this dish is super simple and super quick to put together.
Literally throw all the ingredients in a bowl and serve. This is a quick and easy one to take to your next barbecue, or place it on your Memorial Day or July 4th menu!
