Here’s a few tips on picking and storing your asparagus:
Choose asparagus that looks freshly cut. Discoloration or lighter stalks means it not fresh. Make sure your asparagus is firm, not wilting and that the tips are are closed.
Asparagus is best served once you purchase it! It really doesn’t last more than four days in the fridge. I always place mine in a plastic bag wrapping the tips in a wet paper towel to keep moist. You can also place them in a cup with a little bit of water.
