I know how painful it is to fill up a the pump! I drive a Chevy Tahoe and between work and all my kid’s extra curricular activities I find myself filling up once a week. I am lucky most everything we do is close to our home, but it’s still a hard hit with gas prices up. Harris Teeter makes it a little easier with their fuel points program. Right now through 3/22 each gift card purchase earns 4x fuel points. There are also several bonus offers to rack up even more points.
I spent $100 on giftcards and received 809 fuel points. I purchased a $50 Auto Zone gift card, I already needed to go by there to get new wiper blades so I figured I might as well purchase a gift card at Harris Teeter to earn some extra points. I also purchased a $25 Domino’s gift card (earning an additional 200 fuel points with e-coupon), and a $25 Sonic gift card (earning an additional 200 fuel points with e-coupon).
At the pump that is 80¢ in savings! You can redeem 35 gallons and it must be in one transaction, but that is $28 in fuel savings at the pump. We will use the gift cards for busy nights we need to eat away from home, and I used the Auto Zone one on my way home! Definitely a win win in savings!
