Pumpkin Pie Spice Glaze Donuts Recipe {Deals to Meals}

Fall is here! Harvest decorations are on the porch, my cinnamon apple candles are lit, and it’s time to make pumpkin.. everything!

This week at Harris Teeter, the dough balls are on sale for just $1.00! I stock up on these when they go on sale because you can use the dough for almost anything. Donuts are one of my favorite things to make with these. Seriously warm the oil, throw them in, and top them however you want! We have this Pumpkin Pie Spread on sale this week and it made the most heavenly glaze for these donuts. You are going to love these!

Ingredients

1 Dough Ball (makes 8 donuts)
1 Pumpkin Pie Spread
1/4 Confectioner Sugar

Spread out some flour. Pull your dough a part into 8 even pieces and roll them out. I’m not at all fancy when it comes to these. If you have a donut cutter you can use it. I just use a cap push it in the center and remove the middle piece.

Go ahead and heat your oil to medium heat. Cook each donut until it rises to the top and looks golden brown. It only takes a second.

Lay your donuts out and allow them to cool. To make the glaze add the Pumpkin Pie Spread to a bowl and heat for 25 seconds in the microwave. Mix the Spread with 1/4 cup confectioner sugar. Once the donuts have cooled dip them in the glaze.

Steak and Egg Naan Bread Recipe {Deals to Meals}

I bought Naan Bread during the sale this week and was looking for a creative way to use some left over steak we had for dinner the other night and viola! Really the star of the dish is the egg cooked in the Naan Bread. Top with bacon, sausage, lunchmeat, the possibilities are endless!

INGREDIENTS

Naan Bread (49¢ this week)
Eggs (67¢ this week)
Ribeye Steak ($6.97/lb this week)
Shredded Cheese *I used Mozzarella (Sargento buy one get one FREE this week)
Green Onions Optional (89¢ this week)

INSTRUCTIONS

I used a mason jar, but you can use any cup or cookie cutter to put a dent in your Naan Bread for the egg. Crack the egg and place it in the dented area.

Bake on 375 for about 15 minutes. My oven gets really hot fast so depending on your oven you may need to cook it a bit longer. Once the egg was done I placed the steak and cheese on and baked another two minutes. Then I topped with green onions and served.

AuGratin Breakfast Casserole {Deals To Meals}

I made a quick casserole for brunch today and it was a hit! It was more like lunch time by the time I got all my groceries in and the casserole cooked. But who cares? I could eat breakfast food any time of the day! I had bought quite a bit of sausage last week and this seemed like an easy way to put it to use. If you plan on buying the Betty Crocker AuGratin Potatoes you may want to give it a try!

Ingredients

1 Box Betty Crocker AuGratin Potatoes (50¢ this week)
1lb Ground Sausage
5 Eggs (Eggs 18ct $1.29 this week)
2 Cups Water
1 Cup Milk
3 Tbsp Butter

Baked Breakfast Taquitos Recipe {Deals to Meals}

I don’t know about you but breakfast is always a rush in my home! Between getting everyone ready, and packing lunches, when it comes to breakfast I need a quick and easy option.

These easy Baked Breakfast Taquitos are perfect! Not only are they tasty and filling, but you can freeze them and serve them on the run. 

Items Needed

1lb Ground Sausage
1 Package of Hashbrowns (Hungry Jack Potatoes 49¢ after coupon)
2 Cups Shredded Cheese
1 Cup Eggs
1 Package Flour Tortillas (HT Brand buy one get one free)

Cook your sausage, hashbrowns, and eggs and set them aside in an assembly line or you can mix them all in a bowl for easy filling.

Heat your tortillas in the microwave for five seconds so they are easier to roll. Fill with your ingredients. Roll them and place each taquito seam down on a pan and snuggly beside the next.

Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. That’s it! Serve with salsa or sour cream. You can also wrap these in saran wrap and freeze them. Throw them in the microwave for 30 seconds when your ready to serve.

Duke’s Mayonnaise Biscuits Recipe {Deals to Meals}

A well-seasoned Cast Iron Skillet. This was one of those things that I always pictured having in my kitchen, but until a year ago, found it impractical to have in a small kitchen. They’re big, bulky, not to mention HEAVY, and they’re a lot of upkeep.

Thinking about lugging that thing over to the sink, and all the scrubbing (you shouldn’t use soap), the oiling down, and then – where to store it!? It was enough to make me appreciate those superwomen out there who use them every day, but also enough that I left this kitchen necessity in my “one day when I have a big strong husband” category. {Well, I at least got the husband part… HA!}

French Toast Casserole Recipe {Deals to Meals}

French Toast Casserole

The words, “French Toast” and “Casserole” aren’t two words you would typically put together in a sentence, much less in your mouth. But who would have thought that they’d go together so perfectly in a dish? Now, the sweet and spicy, warm goodness of French Toast mingles deliciously with the satisfying comfort of a homemade casserole, to create a surprisingly addictive flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

Good with a cup of steaming hot coffee, paired with your favorite breakfast food, or drizzled with maple syrup, this dessert is as good a compliment to any meal, as it is a standalone crowd favorite. Simple, elegant, and easy to prepare, this French Toast Casserole is both affordable and memorable. So, break out your Pyrex baking pan, because instead of “either/or, ” you can now have “both/and” on your plate. 
 French Toast Casserole

Ingredients
1 Loaf of Pepperidge Farm Swirl BreadI used the Chocolate Banana Loaf.
6 Eggs
2 Cups Milk
1 Cup Coffee Creamer (I used French Vanilla, but any of your choice)
*Optional 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
*Serve with whipped topping and pancake syrup

  • First cube your loaf bread. (Just a quick tip, I find it much easier to cut the bread using scissors than a knife.) I LOVE my Kitchen Shears!
  • Once the bread is cubed place it in a 9×13 baking dish, sprinkle in your chocolate chips if you choose to use them (or nuts, or raisins!)
  • Crack six eggs and mix them in a bowl, add in the 2 cups milk and one cup coffee creamer. 
  • Pour liquid mixture over bread in the casserole dish evenly. Gently press down bread so the mixture gets into the cubed bread. 
  • Place covered in the refrigerator for at least an hour (you can totally leave it over night if you would like. 
  • Preheat your over to 350 degrees.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes. Serve while it’s warm with whipped topping and syrup. Yum!
